Catalog description

Covers advanced C++, with the goal of exploring how they can be used to manage software complexity in a performant manner. Beyond basic syntax, what separates mediocre code from great code is applying abstractions and features provided by the language to efficiently manage complexity. While we use C++ as our vehicle, the goal is to develop conceptual understanding that can be applied to other imperative, compiled languages. Prerequisites: CS 220 and CS 310. Both prerequisites require a grade of C- or better. Typically offered once every academic year.
