Catalog description

This advanced production course discusses various ways to create a film about a particular site. Throughout a semester, each student will work on a short film project about a site, after observing the phenomenon carefully at the site with ears and eyes. A student will choose a format/medium to create a short film, such as Super 8, 16mm, or digital video. The course consists of a series of lectures, screening, and discussion for increasing the awareness of formal elements of moving images, as well as critiques. Students will also work on a few small projects while developing ideas for the final Project. Prerequisite: CINE 122 and one 3xx production course. Offered in fall semesters.
