Building upon Video/Filmmaking I, this course expands into intermediate video production and postproduction workflows that further refine applications of color space, color grading, image processing and non-linear editing techniques as inseparable parts of the conceptual toolkit. Students in this course will also have the chance to explore new modes of making such as installation, video art, experimental documentary practices, and/or emergent forms of transmission and viewership. Emphasis is placed on the creative process, critical inquiry, and the development of a thoughtful, resourceful approach to time-based image making. Regular attendance at Harpur Film Society and Visiting artist presentations required. Prerequisites: CINE 121, 122, and 252. A fee of $115 is associated with this course.
