Introduction to shooting and editing 16mm film, emphasis on learning to use the skills and theory behind production processes for mindful and provocative expression, on learning to reach meanings in cinematic terms with a critical and creative eye. Format: Instructions, screenings, lectures, discussions, and critiques on students' projects. Attendance at the Visiting Film/Video Artist's Series is required. Readings will be distributed online. Prerequisite: CINE 121, 122 and 252. Cannot be taken concurrently with CINE 352, 353 or 360, or by permission of the department adviser. A fee of $150 is associated with this course.
