CHEM 593 FRONTIERS IN CHEMISTRY. 1 cr. COURSE DESCRIPTION: Seminars on current topics in chemistry. Students attend presentations, participate in discussion and write reports. Visiting speakers are included. May be repeated for credit, to be counted toward fulfilling residency requirement; may not substitute for specified course requirements (including seminars). Required of all chemistry graduate degree candidates; two semesters required for all students. FORMAT: One meeting per week on Fridays. Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grading only. BOOKS: None. PREREQUISITES: Graduate standing in chemistry.
