Catalog description

Continuation of CHEM 107 in the fundamentals of chemistry with a focus for chemistry and biochemistry majors. Intermolecular forces, kinetics, thermodynamics and equilibrium, acids and bases, solubility, electrochemistry, and nuclear chemistry. FORMAT: Three lectures, one recitation, and one three-hour laboratory per week. LONCAPA system will be used as homework. This course is appropriate for first-year students. PREREQUISITE: CHEM107. Not open to students who have credit for CHEM104/105/106 sequence or CHEM 111. Offered during spring semester.
