Catalog description

This is an advanced, elective course for biomedical engineering undergraduates and beginning graduate students. Quantitative instrumental bioanalysis is an overview course including various instrumental bioanalysis principles and methods commonly used in the pharmaceutical industries and biomedical research. The current biotechnologies based on these instrumental analyses are discussed along with the strategy of the quality control in the healthcare industry. The course focuses on the principles and practical application of the analytical instruments used for quantitative analysis in medicine, healthcare, and biomedical research. Prerequisite: BME 324 and 351. Spring Semester.
