Catalog description

Ecosystem ecology addresses the interactions among organisms and their environments as an integrated system. It analyzes the pools and fluxes of material and energy through ecological systems, the distribution pattern of these pools and fluxes, and factors regulating them. It provides the basis for understanding and managing ecosystems from local to global scales and also provides a holistic view of ecological phenomena. Prerequisite: BIOL 355 or 373.
