Catalog description

Structure and function of cells. Emphasis on research techniques so that contemporary problems in cell and molecular biology can be explored. Special themes addressed throughout the course include regenerative medicine and stem cell therapy, new approaches to treat cancer and other diseases, personalized medicine, and new advances in biomedical devices. Prerequisites: BIOL 113 and CHEM 104 or CHEM 107 or CHEM 111 Frequency: Fall/Spring.
