Catalog description

ARTS 410 “Graphic Design 3” is a continuation of the study of image, text, and meaning from ARTS 305. The course explores the interaction of text, image, form, color and the use of the design process to creatively and effectively communicate a message. Projects will challenge students with situations they may encounter as a professional graphic designer to organize, simplify, and clarify information to help audiences process complex information efficiently. The course will cover a range of design modalities including infographics, visual iconography design, wayfinding, motion and interface design expressed across print and digital media. Prerequisite: ARTS 400. Class is offered fall and spring semesters.
