Catalog description

This course provides the student with essential technical skills and conceptual ideas used in contemporary and historical works in mixed media through exploration, applications, and the analysis of historical and contemporary models. The student will be provided the necessary formal theories and techniques used to resolve and understand the process and practice of work produced in mixed media. The formal elements and principle of design will be utilized and students will use construction methods to develop critical and analytical skills to produce well-crafted and theory based projects. Prerequisite: ARTS 171. This course is offered both fall and spring semesters.
