COURSE DESCRIPTION: This is a second level drawing class for the student who comes to it with prior experience. It is designed to further develop his/her existing drawing skills, while continuing to introduce and explore a variety of tools and mediums.Emphasis will be placed on the further growth of all aesthetic qualities as they relate to a more complex visual means of expression. This is a cumulative course and learned concepts are interrelated. Various historical and contemporary images will be studied through slides, video presentations, readings, and/or books. Additionally, these materials will be used to review major art movements and explain their influences in today's art making. Prerequisites: 171. NOTE: There is a $35 fee associated with this course.
