Catalog description

This course will provide the essential technical skills used in historical and contemporary printmaking. Through exploration, application and independent research, students will be introduced to Relief, Silkscreen, Intaglio, and Monotype printmaking techniques. Assigned reading and class discussion will address contemporary issues in print media, and students will have the opportunity to integrate all learned techniques in the printing process. This is a unique course and will be individually tailored for the printmaking student. This course is offered both fall and spring semesters.
