The second half of the 20th century was a moment of great transformation in the global political order, bookended by the end of WWII on the one hand and the expiration of the Cold War on the other. This course introduces students to the major movements and artists of that period, emphasizing the varied social, historical, and theoretical contexts that shaped them. Fulfills post-1800 requirement for Art History major.
