Catalog description

An in-depth examination of women’s lives in premodern and modern Korea. While much of history reflects the visions of male actors, this course is designed to show women’s lives through their own words and actions. Students will gain an appreciation of the diversity of Korean women and their numerous contributions to culture through this course.
