This course is an introduction to the diversity and uniqueness of Japanese culture through the lens of history, geography, language, literature, religions, arts and social institutions. The course will be of interest to students of Japanese language, literature, culture and to those pursuing Asian and Asian American Studies. Lectures, presentations, and discussions are conducted in English. No prerequisites. 4 credits.
