This course introduces students to basic concepts of tree and plant physiology, planting, and management of trees and related vegetation. Topics may include soil preparation, basic pruning, turf and landscape management and herbicides. Business concepts, such as, permits, licenses, and insurance will also be covered. At the end of this course students will be prepared to sit for the Urban Forestry Certification Exam.
