Evidence-Based Medicine II

Catalog description
This course is an intensive study and application of evidence-based medicine and critical thinking. The course will have the student utilize the information that was mastered in PAS 790A – EBM I and apply the information and evidence needed to produce sound clinical decision- making skills. The student will be presented with multiple case studies that encompasses a variety of topics based from the PANCE blueprint to which they will have utilize their critical thinking skills to determine the proper differential diagnosis and formulate an appropriate treatment plan using evidence based medicine. The final project in this course is designed to utilize their research methods and evidence-based medicine knowledge to take a previous case study project form the PAS 790A – EBM I, evaluate the resources, and write a case-based write up suitable for publications.
