Catalog description

This course introduces students to the historical narrative of the Caribbean. The course explores the British Caribbean, Spanish Caribbean, and French Caribbean as well as relations between colonial powers and the Caribs that made these islands their homes before European arrival. The course spans from European contact through the twentieth century.
