Catalog description
This course is an introduction to the psychology of learning, and of motivational and social development. Focus is on the development of learning theory, the physiological and environmental factors that influence learning and the validity of various learning paradigms. This course is designed for future teachers to make application of psychology to learning processes and theories. During this course, students will review individual differences, measurement, motivation, emotions, intelligence, attitudes, problem solving, thinking and communicating in educational settings. Other topics of interest will include: psychological problems involved in the education and the practical application of psychological principles of teaching.
