Basics of organic and biological chemistry including topics such as the study of functional groups, amino acids, lipids, carbohydrates, nucleic acids, enzymes and biochemical pathways. Laboratory and class must be taken concurrently unless one has been successfully completed. Experimental techniques in organic and biochemistry comprise the lab component. Prerequisite: CHE 111 or 121. CHE 122 does not fulfill
