Catalog description

Examines the roles of teachers and schools in responding to adolescent health problems, including alcohol/drug problems, with particular attention to health promotion, prevention, and referral. Adolescent drug/alcohol use from a variety of perspectives: behavioral, pharmacological, social, legal, and clinical. Emphasizes the characteristics of effective comprehensive school-based drug abuse prevention programs. Offered: Fall, Spring.
