Introduces students to communication surrounding health care. History of health care and theoretical foundations of what health and illness mean. Explores provider-patient communication, social support, health literacy, cross-cultural barriers to health care, ethical considerations in health care, health literacy, public health campaigns, and a Christian approach to health and illness. Prerequisites: CHL 110 (may be taken concurrently). Offered: Spring, odd # years.
