Catalog description

How cultural structures and values affect privilege and power. Identifies practices that ensure that rights and responsibilities are distributed equitably. Analyzes strength-based assets and community empowerment. Applying self-awareness and self-regulation, relationship building and inter-professional collaboration, multidisciplinary theoretical frameworks and intervention strategies based on assessment, research, values, and preferences of clients. Prerequisites: SOW 210Z ; SOW 180 or PSY 203 (may be taken concurrently); Major in social work or social work: justice-informed graduate studies pathway; Candidacy status in the social work program. Offered: Spring.
