Includes historical overview; identification of constellations; telescopes; the nature of light, atomic spectra, and structure; the nuclear physics of stars; the life cycle of stars; and current theories of the fate of the universe. Corequisites: Concurrent registration in PHY 112D is required. Offered: Fall.
