On-site investigation of intercultural relations in medieval and modern Europe and North Africa, and how the many different kinds of historical identity, whether Christian, Muslim, or Jew, still reverberate today. Studies the complex history of the region and promotes principles of effective modern pluralism through cross-cultural interaction. Prerequisites: GES 104 ; GES 130 or GES 149 . Offered: January, even # years. Special Notes: This course carries cross-credit with history.
