Catalog description

Orientation to the nature of research proposals and the purpose of doctoral research. Identification of research topic, a problem and response statement, exploration of relevant literature and development of a preliminary bibliography. Special Notes: Thesis Proposal Foundations ( GS 901 ) and Thesis Proposal Workshop ( GS 902 ) are a combined course unit to be taken sequentially in subsequent terms. Students cannot take this course until all other required and concentration courses are completed.
