Catalog description

Conceptualizes exemplary and typical middle and junior high schools: philosophy, organizational structure, curriculum, and instructional characteristics. Students develop an understanding of the physical, emotional, social, cognitive, and moral stages of adolescent development and begin to develop the ability to relate middle-level program possibilities to adolescent developmental needs. Prerequisites: EDU 200 / EDU 201 ; Admission to the Education program. Offered: Fall, Spring.
