Catalog description

The study of socio-cultural variability and its influence on verbal and nonverbal communication. Beginning with cultural self-awareness, the examination of theory is balanced by an examination of practical applications designed to improve intercultural competence in various contexts. Prerequisites: World Cultures (U) course. Offered: Fall, Spring. Special Notes: The course includes a 30-hour intercultural service learning component.
