Introduction to cultural patterns, communities, and communication styles within a specific geographical region through exploration of socio-cultural factors such as worldview, faith, history, education, political economy, ecology, and art. Multiple opportunities to connect with local communities and partner in projects addressing local issues. Possible focus on local diaspora/emigration issues. Prerequisites: GES 104 ; [ GES 130 ; GES 160 or GES 149 ]; Contemporary Western Life and Thought (L) course or World Cultures (U) course. Offered: Occasionally January.
