This course will study the role of the surgical technologist as an integral member of the surgical team. The course covers technical and practical skills, communication, accountability, integrity, and ethics. It will focus on the surgical patient, special populations, ethical and moral issues, health care organizations and management, emergency situations, and hazardous preparations.
