Catalog description
This course is a first-level course in the nursing sequence. Concepts developed throughout the program are introduced. Orem's nursing model is presented as the organizing framework of the curriculum. The nursing process is introduced as a problem solving technique. Students will be required to pass performance tests and are expected to practice these skills to perfect techniques. Students will plan and implement nursing care in a variety of health care settings.
