Catalog description
This is a course concerning bacteria and other microorganisms and their role in the environment. Topics include an introduction to microorganisms and their physiology, soil microbiology, cycles of the elements, aquatic microbiology, sewage treatment, bioremediation, and applied microbiology encompassing food microbiology, industrial microbiology and biotechnology.
