Introduction to Substance Abuse Counseling

Catalog description

This course offers an introduction to work with individuals and families who have substance use disorders and addiction. Students will develop a deeper understanding of the theoretical models of addiction, existing treatment approaches and settings for substance use disorders and addiction, and explore current aspects of the field regarding addiction policy, research and treatment.
