Catalog description
This course focuses on how book publishing professionals working in marketing and publicity roles create strong brands and communicate them via publicity efforts. Students will explore how brands can be built for authors, and then go on to simulate real book publicity scenarios in traditional and digital formats. Work in the course focuses on how to promote books/authors to influencers on social and digital platforms, as well as to outside media members in TV, radio, blogging, traditional online and print journalists, and live event planners.
