Catalog description

Gender is investigated across several areas of psychological science, including development, cognition, health, personality, neuroscience, and social psychology. In addition, this course explores the role gender plays in the pertinent areas of daily living and behavior (e.g., interpersonal relationships, parenthood, education, violence, media, work, mental health). Empirical findings that support or fail to support common beliefs and myths about gender differences and similiarites are also explored.
