Catalog description

This course functions as a primer to introduce students to the form and art of scientific writing. Students will learn, through lectures and classroom writing assignments, how to formulate ideas, support those ideas with research, logically string arguments together, accurately depictthe methods and results of studies in appropriate manner, and interpret and discuss their results in context of the field. Heavy emphasis will be on practice of the different parts of writing a manuscript, with constant peer and instructor feedback on writing.
