Pharmacology I

Catalog description

This course introduces the principles of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and pharmacogenetics. Selected drug classes will be explored through a concept based lens with an emphasis placed on developing clinical judgment. Drug calculations and dosage considerations will be introduced. Pharmacological considerations that involve psychosocial, economic, cultural, ethical, and legal factors will be explored as they relate to the nursing role.
