Music Education Seminar

Catalog description

A seminar which serves as a mechanism to assist music education majors demonstrate their involvement in, commitment to and compliance with policies of the Music Teacher Education Program. Elements of the program such as the following will be monitored in these successive seminars: attendance and involvement in professional organizations, workshop/conventions, monthly student meeting; appropriate progress in portfolio preparation; observations in school music programs; application to Music Teacher Education Program; completion of state-mandated tests; and application for student teaching. Seminars typically meet three times during the semester.
