Song Creation for MBU Students

Catalog description

Students learn the fundamentals of melody, harmony, lyrics, and song structure while developing practical skills in idea generation, collaboration, notation, and revision. Designed for Music Business majors with limited musical training, the course emphasizes the role of songs within today’s music industry. Students complete solo and co-written works, compile a small songwriting portfolio, and demonstrate business awareness through a final creative project and exam.
