Catalog description

This course explores the psychological, emotional, and behavioral effects of color in the built environment. Students examine how individual colors influence human perception, mood, arousal, and well-being, with a particular focus on interior spaces. Through a systematic study of color families-including red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, white, and black-students develop an evidence-based understanding of color psychology and its application in design. The course emphasizes intentional color decision-making to support human-centered, inclusive, and wellness-oriented interior environments.
