Catalog description

Sophomore standing or permission of instructor. This class will examine the birth of Renaissance monarch in England, the personalities and politics of the Tudor age, and the government of the realm. Special attention will be paid to the origins of the empire, the question of the “Tudor frontier,” the impact of the Reformation, and the emergence of the market society. Cross Listed with HIS 5670.
