Catalog description

This course is the culminating class in the Gender Studies Minor. It provides students with an opportunity to synthesize the coursework they have completed in the minor and think in a sustained way about the knowledge they have gained in those previous courses. The course will examine contemporary theoretical and topical issues in Gender Studies and will ask students to reflect on their own position within the field, in relation to both their personal and professional lives. Students in the course will complete significant individual projects that apply Gender Studies theories and methodologies to professional or discipline-based topics.
