Catalog description

Students explore drafting, creative pattern making, while learning traditional methods such as creating garment structure, construction techniques, and fit adjustment. Focusing on suit construction, the course centers on tailored jackets and trousers and may be taught as menswear or womenswear. Emphasis is placed on construction quality, technical accuracy, fitting and alterations, and portfolio development. This course culminates in drafting, construction, and a completed suit of the student’s original design.
