Catalog description

This course introduces students to the fundamental concepts of garment construction, including steps-of-operation, seam and stitch types, hems, and silhouettes essential for the fashion industry. Emphasis is placed on identifying design elements and clothing attributes, such as design details and silhouettes. Students will also develop skills in garment quality analysis and gain an understanding of industry standards and governmental regulations, preparing them with the knowledge needed for professional practice in global fashion contexts.
