This course examines the evolution of media forms, the influence of technological advancements, and the role played by media industries in shaping societal, cultural and entertainment landscapes. Through an exploration of the interplay between media, entertainment, and society, students are tasked with identifying the dynamic connection between contemporary society and media industries. The course encourages critical analysis of diverse media formats such as books, newspapers, magazines, television, film, music, video games and digital platforms. Case studies are utilized to investigate how media & entertainment not only mirrors but also actively contributes to cultural narratives, ideologies, and power structures.
