Catalog description

Focus will be placed on developing advanced technical skills with artificial and mixed lighting techniques in varied environments inside the studio and on location. Special instruction will ensure students learn techniques to ensure accurate and appropriate lighting of diverse skin tones in multiple lighting set-ups. The semester coursework consists of assigned and self-defined projects. Students participate in group critiques and discussions emphasizing technical skill, creativity, and presentation. Students will speak and write critically about their work and the work of others.
