Catalog description

Students engage a structured architectural project that requires responsiveness to context, program, and principles of composition while integrating knowledge from complementary disciplines. Emphasis is placed on coordination between architectural design, building systems, environmental performance, and human-centered considerations through collaborative inquiry and iterative development. Working in dialogue with faculty and partners from related fields, students explore how multiple perspectives inform building form, spatial organization, and technical resolution. The studio challenges students to synthesize conceptual intent with contextual, social, and technical conditions to address contemporary design problems through integrated, multidisciplinary thinking.
