ARC 1010
Folio Thinking
Belmont University · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
Students will develop an electronic learning portfolio (ePortfolio) to document, deepen, and reflect on their learning experiences in, and related to, the architecture program. Distinct from a “showcase” portfolio (comprising polished work intended to be shared with external audiences), a learning ePortfolio emphasizes process over product, formation over outcomes. It is inward-facing rather than public-facing. In addition to learning the basics of designing the ePortfolio, students will judge and curate collections of experiences through graphic, written, and other media, and will perform metacognitive practices to consider their academic, creative, and professional development. They will use the ePortfolio through the duration of their time in the program.
