Catalog description

This course surveys exceptionality in education and Special Education. The course identifies changes in education policy, methods of teaching students with handicapping conditions, alternative multi-disciplinary team approaches, and an introduction to the various characteristics and classifications of handicapping conditions as defined by the Nebraska Department of Education. This course includes 20 hours of practicum.
